POLICE CLOSE BEITBRIDGE BORDER POST

                                                                      .......AS PROTESTERS SWAM IT.

ARE YOU AWARE
that the ban on imports by Patrick Chinamasa is about to cause a revolution and poses as a rude awakening to the regime that has thrived on oppression? Beitbridge was brought to a standstill today when people showed their displeasure.

We have few snaps from the Border and hope to share more later. If you are travelling across Beitbridge, you need to be vigilant and be on the aware as the situation may turn nasty. We know how our officers react when instructed to descend on civilians.

We hear the border is literally closed down as of lunch time....the police are in control. They are armed to teeth, they are angry too (banks have no money). This sounds like a new revolution.

Protesters including Asian Businessman
(That LookEast tingy)
The Communique reads as follows:
Police in Beitbridge have refused to clear a demonstration planned by residents to protest over the recently introduced ban of importation of a wide range of goods, including groceries and building material, from SA without permits. Beitbridge residents met 2 days ago and resolved to take to the streets to voice their anger at the move by the government, which is likely to leave thousands of families in the border town without any source of income since survival in the border town is hinged on cross-border activities. Residents have however resolved to defy the police and go ahead with the protest. Those who are committed to take part in the protest, meeting point is Dulibadzimu Bus Terminus @ 8:00 this morning (1 July 2016).

Those who have passports are advised to carry them since the battle is most likely to end at the South African side. South Africans in Musina are gathering at Factory Shop in Musina at the same time and Beitbridge residents have been invited to the South African side to join the protests that
side. The plan on the SA side is to blockade the border and turn back all trucks and other
vehicles carrying goods from Zimbabwe.

The South African has already gathered for the demo and the Asian business people operating in Messina are on the front-line as their businesses are mostly affected by the ban.

THE PEOPLE SHALL WIN.....
